Many souvenir items were made specifically to promote the Columbian Exposition that took place in 1892-93. This amazing photo album was one such piece. It has wonderful lithographs depicting the various buildings that made up the exposition, along with excellent examples of early photographs.
The album is full, containing twenty-eight cabinet cards, three tintypes and five cartes de visite. The photographs are portraits, three are family group photos and the tintypes are of children. This album may have been purchased at the exposition by one family member who broughtit back and stored the family photos in it.
